Galois partners with Microsoft to enable verifiable elections with ElectionGuard

Today Microsoft announced our joint work on ElectionGuard, a software development kit that will enable anyone to build verifiable and secure elections technology.

Leveraging ElectionGuard, voting systems can become end-to-end verifiable and allow for individual voters to confirm their votes were counted, as well as for third parties to validate that an election hasn’t been tampered with.

ElectionGuard will be open source and available freely to the public, including election officials and election technology vendors who wish to build end-to-end verifiability into their voting systems.

ElectionGuard is being developed by our Free & Fair team in partnership with Microsoft’s Defending Democracy Program and Microsoft Research.
