Michael Beynon

Project Lead

I enjoy helping to improve the resilience of critical systems that our lives so intimately depend on. Past efforts used cyber ranges to train and practice defense for existing systems, while current work at Galois applies principled engineering earlier to help future systems require less human defense by construction.

Background

Michael joined Galois in 2022.  He was previously a Principal Engineer and the Director of Engineering at SimSpace Corporation, a Cyber Range startup in Boston, MA.  Prior to that he held roles from technical staff member to group leader at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in the domains of Cyber Security, Networking, and Air and Missile Defense sensor systems.  He enjoys working both the technical and the project management sides of impactful projects that improve resilience of critical systems.

Michael earned a M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University at Albany, State University of New York.
