Shauna Sweet joins Galois as Principal Scientist
We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Shauna Sweet to Galois as a Principal Scientist. Her research interests center on the application of quantitative methods to complex mission problems. This includes the development of novel solutions to problems characterized by data sparsity, non-random missingness, and challenges arising from distributional shift.
Dr. Sweet is also interested in the ethical implications of the application of parametric and non-parametric methods, to include machine learning technologies. She holds a PhD in Measurement, Statistics, and Evaluation from the University of Maryland College Park, as well as an MSc in Survey Methodology and a BA in Sociology.
Dr. Sweet joins us from Two Six Technologies, where she was Research Director of Machine Learning. Before that, she supported prototyping and development of Enterprise-level technologies for the Department of Defense.
