The Galois Foundation conducts advanced scientific research in computer science and promotes and supports innovative STEM education programs across the US.
The Galois Foundation, Galois’s non-profit sister organization, has a two-pronged mission: to conduct scientific research impacting the safety and security of critical systems, and to promote the advancement of science education in Oregon and the United States broadly.
Research
In line with the Galois mission, the Galois Foundation conducts scientific research related to critical systems software design and engineering with the goal of promoting national security. The Foundation publishes results for the benefit of the academic community and the general public at conferences, through published papers, and as open source software.
Education
The Galois foundation aims to advance the state of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education by supporting innovative programs in secondary and higher education. Particularly, the Foundation aims to seek out and support initiatives that promote cyber security awareness and best practices, either as part of regular curricula, or through extra-curricular activities.
